US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Whole Foods Market Stores, an Austin, Texas establishment and subsidiary of Amazon.com, recalls certain batch/lots of Whole Foods Market branded Raspberry Cheesecake Italian Gelato due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Raspberry Cheesecake Gelato products are subject to this recall:

  • Whole Foods Market Stores branded Raspberry Cheesecake Italian Gelato, sold in one (1)-pint plastic tubs with a best-by date of 6/11/2021 and of UPC 9948248024

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after Whole Foods Market found that some Butter Cookies and Sweet Cream Italian Gelato were mistakenly packed by its supplier in containers labeled for Raspberry Cheesecake Italian Gelato.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Raspberry Cheesecake Gelato and could be allergic to their Eggs ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Whole Foods Market Raspberry Cheesecake Gelato products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Gelato products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
