Canada/Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”), an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and food safety authority, recalls certain batch/lots of Bonduelle branded Salad products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Escherichia Coli (E. Coli) O157:H7 contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following prepared Prepared Salad products are subject to this recall:

  • Bonduelle branded Caesar Salads with Chicken and Bacon, sold in 174 gram plastic tubs with a use-by date of 10/29/2019 and a UPC of 0 77745 27111 8
  • Bonduelle branded Chef Inspired Salads with Turkey & Ham, sold in 220 gram plastic tubs with a use-by date of 10/31/2019 and a UPC of 0 77745 27113 2
  • Bonduelle branded Cobb Salads with Turkey & Bacon, sold in 206 gram plastic tubs with a use-by date of 10/31/2019 and a UPC of 0 77745 27112 5
  • Bonduelle branded Santa Fe Style Salads with Chicken, sold in 177 gram plastic tubs with a use-by date of 10/31/2019 and a UPC of 0 77745 27114 9

According to the CFIA, it has recalled certain batch/lots of Prepared Salad products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected E. Coli contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salad products identified above,

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled above Prepared Salad products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store, outlet or distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
