US FlagUS/Washington: Alocane Emergency Burn Pad Recall [US]Quest Products LLC, a Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin establishment, recalls an estimated 153,000 Alocane Emergency Burn Pads due to suspected failure to meet US Child Resistant Closure requirements with consequential risks of chemical ingestion and poisoning, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Alocane branded Emergency Burn Pads (10 count and 15 count) that come in a white and red box with the phrase, “Maximum Strength Alocane Emergency Burn Pads” printed on the front.

The recalled Burn Pads are over the counter (“OTC”) Gel Pads infused with Lidocaine (4%) as the active ingredient. The Pads are sold in a 10 count box and 15 count box with the lot numbers 4179, 4180, 4235, 4645, 4646 or 4698 printed next to the barcode/UPC of 8-46241-02448-7.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the consumer packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The Burn Pads contain Lidocaine, posing a risk of poisoning to young children if they were to place the pad in their mouth.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Alocane branded Emergency Burn Pads, please stop using them, store the pads in a safe location out of reach of children and contact Quest Products to return the Burn Pads for a free Alocane Emergency Burn Gel 2.5 ounce child resistant tube or a full refund.
