UK FlagUK/London: Pots & Co., a London, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Pots & Co. branded Chocolate, Mango & Passionfruit and Summer Berry Pudding Pots due to suspected glass fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Pudding Pot products are subject to recall:

  • Pots & Co. branded Colombian Chocolate Pudding Pots, sold in 65 gram glass pots; affected batch/lots: all date codes up to and including 23 November 2019 and a UPC/barcode of 5060253701920
  • Pots & Co branded Mango & Passionfruit Pudding Pots, sold in 65 gram glass pots; affected batch/lots: all date codes up to and including 23 November 2019 and a UPC/barcode of 5060253701906
  • Pots & Co branded Mango & Passionfruit Pudding Pots, sold in six by 65 gram glass pots bulk packages (6 by 65g pots); affected batch/lots: all date codes up to and including 23 November 2019 and a UPC/barcode of 5060253702224
  • Pots & Co branded Summer Berry Pudding Pots, sold in 65 gram glass pots; affected batch/lots: all date codes up to and including 23 November 2019 and a UPC/barcode of 5060253701913

According to the FSA, Pots & Co has recalled certain of its Lighter Range of Colombian Chocolate Pot, Mango & Passion Fruit Pot and Summer Berry Pot Pudding products because some jars may contain glass fragments. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Pudding Pots identified above.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pudding Pot products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Pudding Pots to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and/or GI tract laceration damage.
