US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Nestlé USA, an Arlington, Virginia establishment and a subsidiary of Nestlé SA, a Swiss multinational food and drink processing conglomerate, has recalled certain batch/lots of ready-to-bake refrigerated Nestlé Toll House Cookie Dough products due to suspected rubber fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Cookie Dough products are subject to this recall:

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall covers specific batch/lot codes of the above products, which include ready-to-bake refrigerated Nestlé Toll House Cookie Dough bars, tubs and tube-shaped “chubs”. These products were distributed in the continental US and Puerto Rico. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Cookie Dough products identified above.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cookie Dough products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cookie Dough to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
