US NHTSA Recalls: Airstream Atlas Motorhomes

Among the four (4) recalls the NHTSA announced this month comes news of the following:

Logo - Airstream, Inc.Airstream, Inc. (“Airstream”), a Jackson Center, Ohio establishment and subsidiary of Thor Industries of Elkhart, Indiana, has recalled 151 model year 2019-2020 Atlas Motorhomes marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 19V734000 reports the SH1 Breaker Terminal may be wired incorrectly, causing some of the 12 volt circuits to have insufficient over-current protection.

According to the NHTSA, incorrectly fused wires may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Airstream will notify registered owners and dealers will correct the wiring, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 14, 2019. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111, extension 7401 or 7411 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Central Time (“CT”). No recall designation has been listed for this recall.
