US FlagUS/Washington: H&T Seafood Inc., a Bell, California establishment, recalls an undetermined amount of Fisherman’s Wharf branded Swai Fillets, a type of Siluriformes Fish products, that were packed and distributed without the benefit of USDA inspection and used the mark of USDA inspection without official authorization, all serious health and safety hazards.

The following Siluriformes Fish products were imported from Vietnam to the United States over an undetermined amount of time and are subject to this recall:

  • Fisherman’s Wharf Swai Fillets – Product of Vietnam, sold in one (1)-pound plastic bags containing frozen fillets with any USDA mark of inspection.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the USDA, these items were shipped to warehouse/distribution centers and retail locations in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and South Carolina. The recall was initiated after US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) personnel observed the suspected violation during surveillance at a retail store. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Swai Fish Fillets identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fisherman’s Wharf Swai Fish Fillets products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
