Among the fifty-nine (59) recalls the NHTSA has announced this October comes news of the following:

Logo - Ford Motor CompanyFord Motor Company (“Ford”), a Dearborn, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 17,965 model year 2019 Ford Ranger vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

US NHTSA Safety Notification 19V741000 reports the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (“HVAC”) blower motor in the recalled Ford Ranger vehicles may electrically short.

According to the NHTSA, an electrical short can increase the risk of a fire.

Ford will notify registered owners, and dealers will inspect the HVAC blower motor production date, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 4, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”). Ford’s designation for this recall is 19S34.
