IKEA branded MATVRÅ Children’s Bib products sold with a product code of 50426920 bit no listed barcode or EAN

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Children’s Bib products include suspected component detachment and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Specifically, the fastening snap button on the MATVRÅ Children’s Bibs may detach from the Bib. If this defect occurs, the snap button can become detached from the Bib and pose both choking and/or ingestion hazards for the child.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these IKEA branded MATVRÅ Children’s Bib products do not comply with the requirements of the appropriate European health and safety regulations, specifically European standard EN 12586.

Consequently, a recall of these products from European end users has been ordered.
