Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain MATVRÅ Bibs for Infants sold in a two-pack with one blue and one red Bib with a snap at the back of the neck, as follows:

  • The blue Bib has a green seam along the outside with white polka dots. The red Bib has a yellow seam along the outside with red polka dots. The brands, MATVRÅ, IKEA and the IKEA logo are printed on a white tag on the back of the bib.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Children’s Bibs can be found on the Web site above.

According to the CPSC, the snap button on the MATVRÅ Children’s Bibs may detach from the Bib. If this defect occurs, the snap button can become detached from the Bib and poses both choking and/or ingestion hazards.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled MATVRÅ Children’s Bibs, please do not use them nor dress your child in them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund or exchange for a similar product.
