US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Cornerstone Premium Foods, a Syracuse, New York establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Cornerstone branded Frozen Blackberries due to suspected risk of Norovirus contamination and consequential risk of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Blackberry products are subject to this recall:

  • Cornerstone branded Frozen Blackberries, sold in 16 ounce packages with a batch/lot designation of GC 1 1092 9, distribution dates ranging from 4/2/2019 from 8/7/2019, a best-before date of April 2021 and a UPC of 8 55104 00765 9

According to the FDA, Cornerstone Premium Foods has recalled a specific batch/lot of Frozen Blackberries due to the suspected Norovirus contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled frozen fruit products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cornerstone branded Frozen Blackberries, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Blackberries to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat viral poisoning.
