Additional information:

Among the thirteen (13) recalls the NHTSA has announced this October comes news of the following:

Logo - Ford Motor CompanyFord Motor Company (“Ford”), a Dearborn, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 28,579 model year 2019 F-250 and F-350 Pick-up Trucks equipped with electronically locking rear differentials marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

US NHTSA Safety Notification 19V688000 reports the passenger side rear axle shaft in the recalled vehicles may fail prematurely due to an undisclosed material issue.

According to the NHTSA, a broken passenger side rear axle could result in a loss of drive power and the inability to hold the vehicle still when in Park. If the parking brake is not applied, unintended vehicle movement can occur, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford will notify registered owners and dealers will inspect the passenger side rear axle shaft, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 21, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”). Ford’s designation for this recall is 19S31.
