Lidl It’s Chickenlicious Chicken Snack Recall [UK]

UK/Belfast: Lidl Northern Ireland, a Crumlin, Antrim establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Lidl It’s Chickenlicious branded Chicken Bites, Chicken Crispies and Chicken Wings due to suspected failure to list cooking instructions in English on the product packaging as required and consequential risk of undercooking, bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Chicken products are subject to recall:

• It’s Chickenlicious branded Chicken Bites, sold in 250 gram boxes with a batch/lot code of CH: 9247701 and a use-by date of 29 September 2019
• It’s Chickenlicious branded Chicken Crispies, sold in 250 gram boxes with a batch/lot code of CH: 9247701 and a use-by date of 29 September 2019
• It’s Chickenlicious branded Chicken Wings, sold in 300 gram boxes with a batch/lot code of CH: 9247701 and a use-by date of 29 September 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Chicken products can be found on the Web site above.

According to the FSA, Lidl Northern Ireland has recalled three (3) different Chicken products as the cooking instructions are not written in English. This means there is a risk the cooking instructions are unclear and/or unreadable and the Chicken products may not be thoroughly cooked before being eaten. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chicken Bites, Chicken Crispies and Chicken Wings identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Chicken Bites, Chicken Crispies and Chicken Wings, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Chicken products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
