Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: HB Commerce Pty Ltd, a Sydney New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Baby Walkers due to suspected failure to comply with the labelling requirements of Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Competition and Consumer Act 2010 – Consumer Protection Notice No. 1 of 2013 – Safety Standard: Baby Walkers’ and consequential risk of child falls, laceration and bone fractures, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Walker products are subject to this recall:

  • HB Commerce Baby Walkers, suitable for children aged 7-15 months with a green floor bumper and a SKU of 10041

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Baby Walkers can be found on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Baby Walkers do not comply with Australia’s labelling requirements of the mandatory standard ‘Competition and Consumer Act 2010 – Consumer Protection Notice No. 1 of 2013 – Safety Standard: Baby Walkers’. Specifically, the Walkers do not have the required warning statements.

If the product does not have the required safety warnings, it may not be used correctly by parents or other caregivers. If this defect occurs, it poses a risk of injury to the child.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Baby Walkers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact HB Commerce to arrange for a new warning label and instruction manual to replace the warning labels currently on the Baby Walker.
