UK FlagUK/London: Mondelez UK, a Uxbridge, Middlesex establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Belvita Soft Bakes Choco Hazelnut Flavour Breakfast Biscuits due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Breakfast Biscuits are subject to recall:

  • Belvita Soft Bakes Choco Hazelnut Flavour Breakfast Biscuits, sold in 200 gram boxes with a batch/lot code of CWS0192531, a best-before date code of 2019-12-23 and an EAN of 7622210637062

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, Mondelez UK has recalled certain batch//lots of Belvita Soft Bakes Choco Hazelnut Flavour Breakfast Biscuits because Milk is not declared on the label. Some packs of the product may have been incorrectly packed with Belvita Soft Bakes Choc Chips Breakfast Biscuits, a food product that does contain Milk. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Breakfast Biscuits identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Breakfast Biscuits and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
