US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Consider Bardwell Farm, LLC, a West Pawlet, Vermont establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Dorset, Experience and Slyboboro branded Cheese products due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Cheese products are subject to this recall:

  • Dorset Cheese, sold in two and a half (2-1/2) pound wheels with four (4) wheels per case; affected production dates: 4/28/2019 until present
  • Experience Cheese, sold in three-quarters (3/4) of a pound wheels with eight (8) wheels per case; affected production dates: 4/28/2019 until present
  • Slyboro Cheese, sold in two (2) pound wheels with two (2) wheels per case; affected production dates: 4/28/2019 until present

The recalled Cheese products are known to have been distributed in CA, MA, NY, TX and VT.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Consider Bardwell Farm has recalled certain batch/lots of Dorset, Experience and Slyboboro branded Cheeses due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Cheese products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cheese products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cheese to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisoning such as Listeriosis.
