Throw Throw Burrito Safety Goggle Recall [US & Canada]

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Safety Goggles sold with the prototype Throw Throw Burrito Extreme Going Pro Edition Dodgeball Card Outdoor Game Sets, as follows:

  • The Goggles were sold with the Game Sets in a neon orange nylon drawstring backpack with the name of the game in black lettering.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Safety Goggles can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Goggles contain glass lenses, posing laceration and/or eye damage hazards if shattered. The firm has received two (2) reports of Goggle lenses breaking or cracking. No injuries have been reported.

Owners should immediately stop using the recalled Extreme Edition Goggles and use scissors to cut the Goggles down the flexible plastic center (i.e., above the nose bridge) and through the elastic strap. Exploding Kittens will replace then Goggles with new safety-tested Goggles upon receipt of an e-mail with consumers’ mailing address and an image proving Goggles have been destroyed beyond repair. Exploding Kittens is also contacting all known (i.e, registered) purchasers directly.

Please note: this is a joint recall from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and Health Canada (“HCSC”).
