Additional information:

Among the 67 recalls the NHTSA has announced this September comes news of the following:

Logo - Cooper TiresCooper Tire & Rubber Co. (“Cooper Tire”), a Findlay, Ohio establishment, has recalled an estimated 4,045 Roadmaster RM852 EM Tires, size 295/75R22.5, with DOT date codes 4618 through 4818 marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

NHTSA Safety Notification 19T006000 reports that the inner liner gauge may be too thin, allowing the tire sidewall to fail.

According to the NHTSA, a sidewall failure may cause the recalled Tires to rapidly deflate, increasing the risk of a crash.

Cooper Tire has notified registered owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the tires, free of charge. The recall began August 30, 2019. Owners may contact Cooper Tire customer service at 1-800-854-6288. Cooper Tire’s designation for this recall is 173.
