US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Weaver Fundraising, LLC, an Indianapolis, Indiana establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Trail’s End Chocolatey Caramel Crunch Candy products due to undeclared Almond Nuts, Cashew Nuts and Pecan Nuts, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Caramel Crunch Candy products are subject to this recall:

  • Trail’s End Chocolatey Caramel Crunch Candy, sold in 15-ounce tins with a metallized bag marked with “ACP CARAMEL” and distributed by Boy Scout councils located in Houston, Texas and Corpus Christi, Texas beginning August 9, 2019. None of the product was distributed through retail stores.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Weaver Fundraising has recalled certain 15-ounce tins containing Trail’s End Chocolatey Caramel Crunch because they may inadvertently contain Almond Nuts, Cashew Nuts and Pecan Nuts.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Caramel Crunch Candy products and could be allergic to their Almond, Cashew and/or Pecan Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
