Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Traditional Coleslaw products are subject to recall:

  • EH Booths branded Traditional Coleslaw, sold 225 gram and 425 gram plastic tubs with a batch/lot code of 01241 and a use-by date code of 15 September 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, EH Booths has recalled certain batch/lots of EH Booths branded Traditional Coleslaw, due to suspected risk of plastic fragment contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Coleslaw products identified above. Although the use-by date for this Coleslaw product has expired, it is possible this product remains in freezers or other cold storage and therefore, continues to be a risk for consumption.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Traditional Coleslaw products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Coleslaw, to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
