Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: BMW AG, a Mulgrave, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Mini JCW Children’s Pedal Go-Kart due to suspected component gaps and consequential risk of entrapment, laceration and injury, all serious health and safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Pedal Go-Kart are subject to this recall:

  • BMW AG Mini JCW Children’s Pedal Go-Kart, sold with a part number of 80 93 2 451 017

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, gaps between certain movable parts may present a risk of entrapment. These subject areas are in the steering assembly and adjacent axle bar, between the diagonal stopper rod of the brake rod and the adjacent part of the chassis near rear the right wheel, and between the pedal arm and adjacent drive mechanism shield.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Children’s Pedal Go-Karts, please do not let your child play in or near any of Go-Karts identified above. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Known owners will be contacted by BMW Group Australia Ltd or a BMW dealer. Owners may contact any authorised BMW or Mini Dealership to arrange a full refund.
