Canada/Ottawa: TLW Trading Ltd. expands its existing recall for certain QQ Fish branded Mushroom Fish Ball products to include all current batch/lots that don’t declare Egg on the product label. The original recall notification involved one (1) single batch/lot and was due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Mushroom Fish Ball products are subject to this recall:

  • QQ Fish branded Mushroom Fish Balls, sold in 200 gram bags; affected batch/lots: all codes where egg is not declared on the label with a UPC of 8 886325 910123

The original recall notification was limited to just one (1) specific batch/lot, as follows:

  • QQ Fish branded Mushroom Fish Balls, sold in 200 gram bags with an expiry date of 11/25/2020 and a UPC of 8 886325 910123

According to the CFIA, TLW Trading has expanded its existing recall for the above batch/lots of QQ Fish branded Mushroom Fish Balls from the Canadian marketplace because they contain Egg, an ingredient not declared on the product label. People with an allergy to Egg should not consume the recalled Mushroom Fish Balls.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Mushroom Fish Balls and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
