Jimy Long Reach Lift Trolley Jack Recall [Australia]

Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Jimy Industrial Pty Ltd, a Dudley Park, South Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Long Reach Super Low Profile Quick Lift Trolley Jack due to suspected failure to labelling the product for applicable warnings and dangers and consequential risk of collapse under weight, laceration, fractures, crush and death, all serious safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Trolley Jack products are subject to this recall:

  • Long Reach Super Low Profile Quick Lift Trolley Jacks, sold with a weight rating of 1800 kilograms and an SKU of 71.700.15

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Vehicle Jacks do not comply with the labelling requirements of the mandatory standard ‘Consumer Goods (Trolley Jacks) Safety Standard 2017’. The incorrect labelling on the Vehicle Jacks or packaging may result in misuse of the product. Use of the Vehicle Jacks may lead to a vehicle collapsing on an operator, causing severe injury due to crushing, major bone fracture or death.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Trolley Jack products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Jimy Industrial to receive new labels to attach to the Vehicle Jacks. Alternatively, owners can also return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
