US FlagUS/Washington: Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp. USA, a Lincoln, Nebraska establishment, recalls an estimated 2,600 Kawasaki USA Teryx and Teryx4 branded Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (“ROVs”) due to suspected incorrect joint assembly and steering control loss and consequential risk of crash and injury hazards, all serious safely hazards.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain model year 2019 and 2020 Teryx and Teryx4 Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (“ROVs”), models KRF800FKF/L, KRF800GKF/A/AL/L, KRF800HKF/L, KRT800FKF/L, KRT800GKF/A/AL/L, KRT800HKF/L, KRF800FLF/L, KRF800GLF/L, KRF800HLF/L, KRT800FLF/L, KRT800GLF/A/AL/L and KRT800HLF/L, as follows:

The recalled Off-Highway Vehicles were sold in various colors including: black, camo, gray, green, orange and white; and in three different styles: Non-EPS, EPS and EPS LE. The Vehicles have either two or four seats, automotive style controls and a rear box. The brand, “Kawasaki” is printed on the vehicle’s hood and rear box. Teryx or Teryx4 is printed on the right and left front fender.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, incorrect joint assembly can cause steering control loss, posing crash and injury hazards.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat serious injuries such as lacerations, fracture and/or crush injuries.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (“ROVs”), please do not use them. Instead, kindly
contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free repair. Kawasaki is also contacting all known (i.e., registered) purchasers directly.
