Canada FlagCanada/Ottawa: Les Spécialités Prodal (1975) Ltée, a Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Quebec establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of various The Deli-Shop branded Pâtés due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Pâté products are subject to this recall:

  • The Deli-Shop branded Country-style Pâté – Cognac flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 2019SE26 and a UPC of 0 59749 95188 3
  • The Deli-Shop branded Country-style Pâté – Pepper flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 2019SE26 and a UPC of 0 59749 95189 0
  • The Deli-Shop branded Country-style Pâté – Old Fashioned flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 2019SE26 and a UPC of 0 59749 95187 6
  • The Deli-Shop branded Liver Pâté – Fine Herbs flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 2019SE26 and a UPC of 0 59749 95191 3
  • The Deli-Shop branded Liver Pâté – Garlic flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 2019SE26 and a UPC of 0 59749 95190 6
  • The Deli-Shop branded Liver Pâté – Old Fashioned flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 2019SE26 and a UPC of 0 59749 95192 0

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Les Spécialités Prodal (1975) Ltée has recalled certain batch/lots of various The Deli-Shop branded Pâtés from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Pâté products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pâté products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
