Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Golden Boy FoodsGolden Boy Foods Ltd., a subsidiary of Post Holdings and a Burnaby, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Western Family branded Grab N’Go Veggie Crisps due to undeclared Almond Nuts, Peanuts, Soy, Sulphites (Sulfites) and Wheat, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Snack Mix products are subject to this recall:

  • Western Family Grab N’Go – Veggie Crisps, sold in 400 gram packages with a best-before date code of 20 JA 10, a batch/lot code of LA9191 and a UPC of 0 62639 34718 5
  • Western Family Grab N’Go – Veggie Crisps, sold in 400 gram packages with a best-before date code of 19 SE 21, a batch/lot code of LA9080 and a UPC of 0 62639 34718 5
  • Western Family Grab N’Go – Veggie Crisps, sold in 400 gram packages with a best-before date code of 19 AU 19, a batch/lot code of LA9050 and a UPC of 0 62639 34718 5

According to the CFIA, Golden Boy Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Western Family branded Grab N’Go Veggie Crisps due to undeclared Almond Nuts, Peanuts, Soy, Sulphites and Wheat from he Canadian marketplace.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Snack Foods and could be allergic to their Almond Nuts, Peanuts, Soy, Sulphites (Sulfites) and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
