Talley’s Mussels Garlic Recall [Australia]

Australia/Canberra: Logan Farm Pty Ltd, a Southport, Queensland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Talley’s Mussels Garlic products due to suspected bacterial contamination and consequential risk of infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Mussels Garlic products are subject to this recall:

• Talley’s Mussels Garlic, sold in 375 gram tubs and consisting of cooked, shelled, marinated and ready to eat mussels with an APN/UPC of 9414897011796

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the potential for unspecified microbial contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Mussels Garlic products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
