UK FlagUK/London: Thomas Tucker, a North Anston, Sheffield, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of various Morrisons branded Popcorn products due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Morrisons branded Popcorn products are subject to recall:

  • Morrisons ‘Market Street’ Sweet Popcorn, sold in 200 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020
  • Morrisons ‘Market Street’ Sweet Popcorn, sold in 300 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020
  • Morrisons ‘Market Street’ Salted Popcorn, sold in 120 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020
  • Morrisons ‘Market Street’ Sweet & Salted Popcorn, sold in 200 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020
  • Morrisons Sweet Popcorn, sold in 110 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020
  • Morrisons Salted Popcorn, sold in 100 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020
  • Morrisons Sweet & Salted Popcorn, sold in 100 gram bags with best-before dates ranging from 23 August 2019 to 23 February 2020

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Thomas Tucker Ltd has recalled various Morrisons branded Popcorn products because they may contain Milk, an ingredient not disclosed on the label. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk constituents.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Morrisons branded Popcorn products and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to treat Anaphylaxis.
