Additional information:

Among the 64 recalls the NHTSA has announced this August comes news of the following:

Logo - Capco USACapco USA Inc. (“Capco”), a Farmington Hills, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 4,530 CTR Outer Tie Rods marketed, sold and delivered in the United States for aftermarket installation. The taper on the ball studs in the recalled components may affect the durability of the Outer Tie Rod.

According to the NHTSA, if the recalled Outer Tie Rods fail due to not being durable, control of the vehicle may be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.

Capco will notify the affected registered distributors and will provide replacement Outer Tie Rods to the retail customers, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Capco customer service at 1-248-994-0815 during normal business hours Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time.
