London Gourmet Monster Snack Mix Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: Golden Boy Foods Ltd., a subsidiary of Post Holdings and a Burnaby, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of London Gourmet branded Monster Snack Mix products due to undeclared Almond Nuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Snack Mix products are subject to this recall:

  • London Gourmet branded Monster Snack Mix, sold in 350 gram predominantly white-coloured plastic pouches with a small see-through window showing the snack product inside, a best-before date code of 2020 JA 02, a batch/lot code of LA9183 and a UPC 0 68156 98543 5

According to the CFIA, Golden Boy Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of London Gourmet branded Monster Snack Mix products from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Almond Nuts.

==> For information about Nut Allergy (including Peanuts and Tree Nuts such as Almond Nuts), please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab at the top of this page.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled London Gourmet branded Monster Snack Mix products and could be allergic to their Almond Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to handle Anaphylaxis.
