US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Whole Foods Market, an Austin, Texas establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Decorated Red Apple Cookies due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Red Apple Cookies are subject to this recall:

  • Decorated Red Apple Cookies, possibly labelled as Sugared Apple Cookies, sold by the pound in plastic clamshell containers by Whole Foods Market stores in its Southern Pacific region until 8/20/2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the Southern Pacific region of Whole Foods Market has recalled certain batch/lots of its Decorated Red Apple Cookies due to Egg, an ingredient not declared on the product label.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Decorated Red Apple Cookies and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
