Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Buu Buu Children’s Wear, a Cabramatta, Sydney, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Children’s Two-Piece Cotton Sleepwear Sets due to suspected failure to carry the appropriate fire hazard information label as required by Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Consumer Goods (Children’s Nightwear and Limited Daywear and Paper Patterns for Children’s Nightwear) Safety Standard 2017’ and consequential risks of fire, burns and property damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Two-Piece Cotton Sleepwear Sets are subject to this recall:

  • Buu Buu Children’s Wear branded Children’s Two-Piece Cotton Sleepwear Sets, sold in sizes from 3 months up to 4 years of age in the following general categories:
    • N321 Toddler Sleepwear Sets
    • N372 Children’s Sleepwear Sets

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the recalled garments do not comply with the labeling required by the mandatory standard ‘Consumer Goods (Children’s Nightwear and Limited Daywear and Paper Patterns for Children’s Nightwear) Safety Standard 2017’.

Specifically, the recalled Sleepwear Sets do not carry the required fire hazard information label. As a result, parents and other caregivers may not be aware of the fire hazard information of the garment. This may pose potential fire and burn risks to the child.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Children’s Clothing, please do not use them nor dress your child in them. Instead, kindly return the garments to the store to get a replacement product.
