US NHTSA Recalls: Hino NE8J, NJ8J and NV8J Trucks

Among the recalls the NHTSA has announced recently, comes news of the following:

Logo - Hino Motors Manufacturing USAHino Motors Manufacturing USA, Inc., the commercial truck division of Toyota Motors Corp. and a Novi, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 1,531 model year 2020 NE8J, NJ8J and NV8J Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States. Due to improper adhesive bonding, the exterior mirror glass in the recalled vehicles may detach from the mirror carrier plate.

According to the NHTSA, if the mirror glass detaches, the driver may have reduced visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Hino will notify registered owners and dealers will replace the mirrors, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 26, 2019. Owners may contact Hino customer service at 1-248-699-9390. Hino’s designation for this recall is M0330.
