Stoked Oats brand Aphrodisi-Oats Recall [Canada]Canada/Ottawa: Stoked Oats Ltd., a Calgary, Alberta establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Stoked Oats branded Aphrodisi-Oats due to suspected risk of insect fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Oatmeal products are subject to this recall:

  • Stoked Oats branded Aphrodisi-Oats – Oatmeal Blend with Flax & Chia flavour, sold in 500 gram bags with a best-before date of 2020 JN 18, a batch/lot code of 1718006 and a UPC of 8 18541 00014 0

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, this recall was initiated after it was suspected that certain batch/lots of Stoked Oats branded Aphrodisi-Oats – Oatmeal Blend with Flax & Chia was contaminated with Insect Fragments. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Oatmeal products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Stoked Oats branded Aphrodisi-Oats, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
