UK FlagUK/London: Lidl Great Britain Limited, a London, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Speedfeast branded Quarter Pounder Burger with Cheese products due to suspected incorrect labelling and consequential risk of undeclared Egg, Milk and Sesame, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Hamburger products are subject to recall:

  • Speedfeast branded Quarter Pounder Burgers with Cheese, sold in 195 gram packages with a best-before date code of 2019-08-23

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, this recall was initiated after it was suspected that these Speedfeast branded Quarter Pounder with Cheese products contain undeclared Egg, Milk and Sesame, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Egg and/or Milk or Milk constituents and/or an allergy to Sesame.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Speedfeast branded Burgers and could be allergic to their Egg, Milk and Sesame ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to handle Anaphylaxis.
