Tower branded 8L Digital Multi Cookers/Air Fryers, sold with a model designation of T17004 and a batch/lot designation of P0185990

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Multi Cooker/Air Fryer products include suspected component fault and consequential possible activation without user input or command.

Specifically, if this defect occurs, there is an increased risk of fire with consequential burns and property damage. Due to the fact these appliances use a flammable substance in the cooking process, specifically eatable oils, the risk of fire may be increased further due to this additional fuel source. In addition, the recalled kitchen appliances do not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these Multi Cooker/Air Fryer products do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Low Voltage Directive. Consequently, a recall of these products from end users and a withdrawal of the product from the market withdrawn from the European marketplace has been ordered.
