US NHTSA Recalls: Hyundai Genesis Vehicles

Among the recalls the NHTSA has announced recently, comes news of the following:

Logo - Hyundai Motor AmericaHyundai Motor America (“Hyundai”) has recalled an estimated 8,059 model year 2018 Genesis G80 and 2017-2018 Genesis G90 vehicles equipped with 3.3 liter turbocharged engines and marketed, sold and delivered in the United States. The turbocharger oil supply pipe in the recalled vehicles may have a loose seal, causing oil to leak onto the exhaust manifold.

According to the NHTSA, oil leaking onto the exhaust manifold increases the risk of a fire.

Hyundai will notify registered owners and dealers will replace the turbocharger oil supply pipe, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 6, 2019. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai’s designation for this recall is 003G.
