Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Decathlon Pty Ltd, a Tempe, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Nabaiji branded Noodle Fun Pool Noodles due to suspected failure to comply with marking requirements of Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Trade Practices Act 1974 – Consumer Protection Notice No.2 of 2009 – Consumer Product Safety Standard: Flotation Toys and Aquatic Toys’ because the required safety warning does not appear on the flotation product and consequential risk of drowning if the assistive product is not used as intended, all serious safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Pool Noodles are subject to this recall:

  • Nabaiji branded Fun Pool Noodle, sold in blue, yellow, pink and green colours

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, due to the apparent missing warning labeling, parents and other caregivers may not be aware of important safety information about the use of the product (i.e. only use under adult supervision). There is, therefore, an increased risk of drowning if the product is not used as intended.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Pool Noodles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
