US FlagUS/Washington: Dorel Juvenile Group USA, a Foxboro, Massachusetts recalls an estimated 24,000 Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe Rock Bassinets and Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinets due to suspected failure to secure the infant and consequential risk of choking, asphyxiation and death, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain batch/lots of Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe Bassinets sold with a model number of BT055CSY and the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinets sold with a model number of BT071DHS, as follows:

  • The model numbers are located on a label on the underneath side of the fabric of the inclined sleeper pad. The Inclined Sleepers are rectangular shaped with a soft bottom, cushioned fabric, stand approximately two feet off the floor and are designed for sleeping or napping infants from birth to six months of age. The Eddie Bauer Slumber and Sooth Bassinet is beige while the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinet is purple.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, over thirty (30) infant fatalities have occurred in other Sleepers after the infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, or under other circumstances.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled the Eddie Bauer Slumber and Sooth Bassinets or the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinets, please do not use them or let your child play with or near them. Instead, contact Dorel Juvenile Group for a refund or voucher.
