Additional information:

Among the 38 recalls the European Union has announced in its fourth (and final) report of July 2019, the following recall notification was made:

EU Tula branded Baby Carry Sling Recall [EU]Tula branded Baby Carry Slings, sold with model designations of TTBCA9W50 or TBCA9W61 and EAN/UPCs of 5902574367877 and 5903050381547

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Baby Sling products include suspected inadequate structural integrity in that the Baby/Infant Sling can break with consequential risk of child falls and/or injury. Specifically, the recalled Baby Slings can suddenly fail in use and contribute to life-changing injuries of the child.

If the child falls from the Baby Sling, s/he may suffer contusions and broken bones, with the possibility of head injury and brain damage if the child falls from the Sling onto his head from height. Similarly, it is possible that the child will suffer from cervical spine injury with consequential extremity and/or respiratory paralysis.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these Tula branded Baby Carry Slings do not comply with the requirements of the relevant European standards and have been ordered recalled immediately.

Consequently, a recall of these products from end users and a withdrawal of the product from the market withdrawn from the European marketplace has been ordered.
