US FlagUS/Washington: Home Market Foods, Inc., a Norwood, Massachusetts establishment, recalls an estimated 53,217 pounds of frozen ready-to-eat Cooked Perfect branded Homestyle Beef and Pork Meatball products due to undeclared Milk and Wheat, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Beef and Pork Meatball products are subject to this recall:

  • Cooked Perfect branded Homestyle Beef and Pork Meatball, sold in 48-ounce plastic bags with a best-if-used-by date of 07/02/20

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 2727” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to US retail locations in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina and Rhode Island.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Beef and Pork Meatballs products and could be allergic to their Milk and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the distributor or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Meatball products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
