US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Elevation Foods, LLC, a Knoxville, Tennessee establishment, recalls an estimated 1,087 cases of Archer Farms-brand Egg Salad; Freskëtbrand Egg Salad, Tuna Salad, and Thai Lobster Salad; and Archer Farms-brand Deviled Egg Sandwiches due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Archer Farms-brand Egg Salads; Farms-brand Egg Salads; Freskëtbrand Egg Salads, Tuna Salads, and Thai Lobster Salads; and Archer Farms-brand Deviled Egg Sandwiches produced on June 18, 2019 due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, as below:

  • Archer Farms branded Egg Salad, sold in a 12-ounce clear, square plastic containers with a batch/lot number of W1906042Aand a use-by date code of 12AUG2019 and a UPC 085239018682.
  • Freskët branded Egg Salad, sold in a 32-ounce clear, square plastic containers with a batch/lot number of W1906042 and a use-by date code of 12AUG2019A.
  • Freskët branded Tuna Salad, sold in a 5-pound white, round plastic containers with a batch/lot number of W1906054 and a use-by date code of 02AUG2019A
  • Freskët branded Thai Lobster, sold in a 5-pound white, round plastic containers with a batch/lot number of W1906041 and a use-by date code of02AUG2019A
  • Archer Farms branded Deviled Egg Sandwich Half Sandwich with Bacon, sold with a UPC of 220505000002
  • Archer Farms branded Deviled Egg Sandwich on Multigrain, sold with a UPC of 498780203566

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Elevation Foods has recalled certain certain batch/lots of Egg Salad; Freskëtbrand Egg Salad, Tuna Salad, and Thai Lobster Salad; and Archer Farms-brand Deviled Egg Sandwiches produced on June 18, 2019 due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Egg-based food product identified above.

Elevation Foods initiated this recall after receiving positive test results for three containers of affected Egg Salad, sampled and tested by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Egg Salads and Sandwiches, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Egg products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
