Additional information:

Among the 66 recalls the NHTSA has announced this July comes news of the following:

Logo - Ford Motor CompanyFord Motor Company (“Ford”) has recalled an estimated 7,579 model year 2019 Ford Ranger vehicles with a SuperCab body style. The front passenger seat belt in the recalled vehicles may have been improperly assembled.

The seat pedestal base anchor brackets to the chassis frame in the recalled Motorhomes may not have enough strength to prevent the seat and seat belt from moving in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (“FMVSS”) number 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages” and 207, “Seating Systems.”

According to the NHTSA, improperly assembled seat belts may not adequately restrain occupants in a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Ford will notify registered owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the right front seat belt assembly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 29, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s designation for this recall is 19S23.
