Levolor Two-Corded Custom Cellular Shade Recall [US]

US FlagUS/Washington: Levolor Inc., an Atlanta, Georgia establishment, recalls an estimated 30,000 Levolor branded Two-Corded Custom Cellular Window Shades due to suspected failure to have breakaway cord connectors and consequential risk of choking, strangulation and death, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Levolor Two-Corded Custom Cellular Window Shades, as follows:

  • The recalled Window Shades were sold in the following styles/sizes:
    • Bottom up single cell products (60 inches or less in width)
    • Bottom up double cell products (44 inches or less in width)
    • Top-Down/Bottom-Up or Day/Night corded products (42 inches or less in width)
    • Various custom cellular configurations of specialty shapes

The Levolor logo is printed on a sticker on the bottom rail. Manufacturing information, including the date of manufacture, can be found on a sticker on the head rail. Only units manufactured between 12/15/2018 and 04/30/2019 are subject to this recall.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the pull cords on the recalled Window Blinds are joined by a non-breakaway cord connector. This defect poses a strangulation and/or choking hazards for small children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Window Blinds, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Levolor for a free repair kit. Levolor is contacting purchasers directly.
