Ada Valley Raw Beef Meatloaf Recall [US]

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Raw Ground Beef are subject to this recall:

  • Ada Valley Meatloaf Uncooked, sold in five (5)-pound frozen vacuum packages, packed two (2) each in the carton with a batch/lot code of 17034 and a packaging date of 05-20-19

According to the USDA, the Raw Beef Meatloaf products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 10031” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items are known to have shipped to hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the US states of Arizona, California and Nevada.

The problem was discovered on July 11, 2019, when a customer notified the plant of the problem. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Raw Ground Beef products identified above.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Ada Valley branded Raw Ground Beef Meatloaf products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
