Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports this recall involves certain Stokke Tripp Trapp Newborn Sets, products that are sold as separate accessories to be attached to the Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chairs, as follows:

  • The Baby Seat accessory allows the child to be at the dinner table at family meal times. The Seat accessory is designed to be used for infants ranging from 0 and 6 months, or weighing up to 9 kilograms or until the child can sit up unaided. The Seats were sold with the following SKU/item numbers, custom codes and UPC/EAN designations:
    • Tripp Trapp Newborn Sets, model 526301, sold with a custom code of 94037000 and a UPC/EAN of 7040355263012
    • Tripp Trapp Newborn Sets, model 526302, sold with a custom code of 94037000 and a UPC/EAN of 7040355263029
    • Tripp Trapp Newborn Sets, model 526303, sold with a custom code of 94037000 and a UPC/EAN of 7040355263036

According to Health Canada, when re-assembling the Newborn Seat harness after washing, parents and other caregivers may mis-assemble the harness but still believe it is functional and provides fall protection. Incorrect reassembly can lead to one or more harness attachment points separating. If this defect occurs while the infant child is in the Baby Seat, the child could fall and be injured.
