UK FlagUK/London: Shazans, a Preston, Lancashire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Bitesize Punjabi Samosas due to undeclared Milk, all known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Punjabi Samosas are subject to recall:

  • Shazans 10 Bite Size Punjabi Samosas, sold in 200 gram packages with a batch/lot code of LDS, a best-before date of end of April 2021 and a UPC/EAN of 5060010093244

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, this product contains Milk making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk Constituents. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Punjabi Samosas identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Punjabi Samosas and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Punjabi Samosas, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Samosas to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
