US FlagUS/Silver Spring: WinCo Foods, LLC., a Boise, Idaho establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of WinCo branded Frozen Red Raspberries manufactured by Rader Farms, a Bellingham, Washington establishment, due to suspected Norovirus contamination and consequential risk of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Red Raspberries are subject to this recall:

  • WinCo branded Frozen Red Raspberries, sold in 12-ounce white plastic bags with blue graphic panels and a picture of raspberries in a bowl, with a best-by date code of Feb/13/2021, a batch/lot designation of 4045902 and a UPC of 0 70552 30501 4.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after FDA informed WinCo Foods that a sample of the Frozen Red Raspberries was tested by the FDA and found to be contaminated with Norovirus. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Red Raspberries identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled WinCo branded Frozen Red Raspberries, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the WinCo Frozen Red Raspberries to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
