UK FlagUK/London: Milarex UK Limited, an Aberdeen, Scotland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Teriyaki Fish and Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Nori Fish due to suspected risk of incorrect date labelling and consequential risk of spoilage, bacterial contamination, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Prepared Salmon Fish products are subject to recall:

  • Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Teriyaki, sold in 85 gram plastic wrapped card packages with a use-by date of 21 June 2019
  • Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Nori, sold in 85 gram plastic wrapped card packages with a use-by date of 21 June 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, Milarex UK has recalled the above-identified batch/lots of Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Teriyaki and Oishi-mi Sushi Salmon Nori with a use-by date of 21/06/19 due to incorrect date labelling. The products should have been labelled with a use-by date of 10/06/19. This means the products may be unsafe to eat if consumed after the intended use-by date of 10/06/19.

Please note: the above products are only sold in some selected Aldi stores in England only. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salmon Fish products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salmon Fish, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Salmon to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
