US FlagUS/Washington: Polaris Industries Inc., a Medina, Minnesota establishment recalls an estimated 3,900 of Polaris RGR EV Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (“ROVs”) due to unexpected acceleration and consequential risk of crash, rollover, injury and property damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain model year 2015 – 2019 Ranger EV Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (“ROVs”) sold in Avalanche Gray and Pursuit Camo color/styles and produced between April 2014 and January 2019.

The recalled vehicles have the brand, “POLARIS” printed on the front grille and beneath the doors; and the model, “RANGER” printed on the rear fenders. The vehicle identification number (“VIN”) and model number can be found on a label affixed to the vehicle frame in the left front wheel well. VIN numbers included in this recall are at http://www.polaris.com.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, an incorrectly wired chassis harness can cause an incorrect throttle control signal to the electric drive motor, which can cause the vehicle to accelerate unexpectedly, posing a crash hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
